So Long, Globetrotting Dinner
As you know we recently celebrated our 10th year in business! We have gone through so many changes as people and as a business during our decade of operation. We have expanded, shifted, and re-organized more times than we can count and even successfully weathered the storms of a global pandemic (no small thanks to our amazing community). The Wednesday Night Globetrotting Dinner series has been one of the constant fixtures of this store through it all since our first meal 9 years ago. We are so grateful for the loyal following that has grown with us along the way. However, keeping pace with the demand of the meal every week, year-round, has been difficult to maintain in the midst of all the other responsibilities of the two stores.
With that in mind, we have decided to push the pause button on our dinner series to allow for some much needed rest and time to re-evaluate and scheme up some other creative food directions for our kitchen.

Oaxaca Mole
Oaxaca Mole: Tender chicken in a rich and complex mole sauce made from roasted chilies, nuts, seeds, spices, fruits and dark chocolate atop thick masa cakes laced with cinnamon. Served with a salsa verde, avocado, and cilantro.
Japanese Yaki Udon
Japanese Yaki Udon: Thick, chewy noodles stir fried with bok choy, scallion, and a sweet soy sauce, topped with teriyaki braised local pork belly or tofu, black sesame seeds, and fresh radish sprouts.
Chicken Tikka/Chana Masala
Your choice of Chicken Tikka Masala or Chana (Chickpea) Masala, served with Pete’s organic spinach Saag (creamed spinach) and basmati rice.

GUEST CHEFS! Miso Hungry Ramen Shop will be serving up Japanese Ramen and Roasted Sesame Salad We are excited to have Jordan and Momo from Miso Hungry Ramen Shop come to the Craftsbury General Store with their dazzling food truck to serve up authentic Japanese Ramen!

Middle Eastern Shawarma: Warm pita stuffed with local lamb/beef, greens, cucumber, pickled onion, mint, and a refreshing Greek yogurt sauce
Chinese Sichuan Mapo Tofu
Mapo Tofu: A classic Chinese dish that captures the bold flavors of Sichuan cuisine. Local ground pork and silken Vermont Tofu swim in a flavorful sauce of chili, Sichuan peppercorn and housemade bean paste. Served over fresh Chinese noodles and topped with green onions. Vegetarian version comes without pork.

Irish Menu
Irish Menu House made corned beef with Spring Hill Angus brisket, Colcannon (local cabbage and potato mash) and browned butter soda bread.
Traditional Swedish Meatballs
Traditional Swedish Meatballs and gravy made with Spring Hill Angus beef and local pork–Served with buttery Hasselback potatoes and a local beet, red onion and fresh herb salad. All drizzled with a Vermont black currant syrup. Ikea, eat your heart out.
Vietnamese Pho Ga
Vietnamese Pho Ga! Rich & aromatic chicken broth ladled over rice noodles and topped with chicken, bean sprouts, fresh cilantro, basil, scallion, and lime. Guaranteed to invigorate and warm your soul!
Peruvian Menu
Peruvian Menu consists of cumin-garlic-lime roasted chicken legs with Papa a la Huancaína (potatoes with spicy yellow pepper cheese sauce) and roasted beets.
Cajun Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya
Cajun Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya which is made with North Country Smokehouse Andouille sausage and Pete’s Greens bacon. Served with a buttery cornbread muffin and organic braised collard greens.
California-Style Fried Chicken Sandwich
California-Style Fried Chicken Sandwich is back by popular demand! Buttermilk battered fried chicken breast topped with zesty slaw on a brioche bun with sriracha mayo spread.
Icelandic Fish Stew
Plokkfiskur: Icelandic Fish Stew which is a simple stew of line-caught Alaskan salmon, shrimp, haddock & local veggies in a flavorful stock with wine, herbs and creme fraiche. Served with Patchwork bread w/herb butter and pickled radish.
Coq Au Vin
Coq Au Vin which is a classic french dish of chicken braised in a rich wine sauce with bacon, vegetables, and herbs. Served with local roasted potato wedges and a whole grain mustard aioli.
Vietnamese Banh Mi
Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches which consist of lemongrass pork or tofu ( both local) with pickled daikon and carrots, fresh cilantro, jalapeño, cucumber, and zesty mayo on a crunchy french roll.
Poulet Yassa
Poulet Yassa ~ Grilled chicken or Tofu in a delicious caramelized onion sauce served with brown rice, spiced lentils and sweet potatoes and a Ginger tea.
Middle Eastern Menu
Middle Eastern Menu consists of homemade herbed falafel served in a soft pita with local greens, tzatziki, pickled onions, feta, and tahini.
