Musings From the Genny: Week of August 4th, 2025

This is a thank you letter to all of you who have assisted us over the years, to our everyday heroes who have helped us navigate challenges and tackle pesky projects that sometimes fall outside our capacity to handle.

When someone backs into the porch (again), Harry is there to reattach the railing. When a new freezer is delivered and we just don't have the people power to maneuver it safely into the building, Jeremiah and Nick arrive with tools of the trade to expertly guide it into place. When our cooler is dripping water, Jon suggests we take a shop-vac to the drain pipe, and whoosh, the clog is removed!

When our planters are getting a little neglected, Molly spends time weeding and dead-heading on her way in for her morning coffee.  When the old freezer is sitting out back collecting dust, Cody swings by with his tractor to take it to the scrap pile.  When the front door keeps sticking, Richie offers to fix the latch.  When the bulletin board is getting unruly, Fran sorts through the clutter and gets it organized.

And when that awkward thing needs lifting, we have recruited countless volunteers from the parking lot or check-out line. With all the moving pieces around here, we are extremely grateful for those willing to lend a hand and their expertise when we need it.  These little acts of kindness go a long way.  Thank you!
