Musings From the Genny: Week of August 18th, 2025

For many of us running stores, restaurants, hotels, landscaping businesses, and many others, mid-August can feel a bit overwhelming.  Summer is still in full swing for another couple of weeks, and yet many businesses lose their summer help as students head back to college.  Existing staff are asked to work more shifts or longer ones, and management teams are dealing with all the fallout that comes from that.  If there ever was a time of year to give extra love to the staff that rings you up, serves you a beer, makes you a meal, tends to your garden, or tidies your room, now is the time.  Love them up because they are likely exhausted, even though they have that great service smile.
