It’s Block Party Time!

This year marks the 10th Annual Craftsbury Village Block Party! Hard to believe how much it has grown in the decade plus since the inaugural party way back in 2014— from less than 500 people that first year to upwards of 1200 last year. The idea was born out of a desire to gather and celebrate our community with a formula reminiscent of the old school block party: shut down the road so kids can run free in the street, fire up the grills and ice the drinks to get neighbors mingling, strike up the band (or two), and then top it all off with a fireworks show and dance party! It is a big endeavor but, honestly, always ends up feeling easeful because of the many-hands mentality of this robust little town.

Every year the volunteer sign up fills up quickly and the businesses of Craftsbury all pitch in with donations to fill in where needed. This year the slip and slide will be back, so bring towels and dry clothes for your kiddos!

Music will be provided by Slim Pickin’s, Nico Suave & the Mothership (a Led Zeppelin tribute band!) and DJ Matty Parillo. Secret Circus is making an appearance for some added fun and whimsy! Commemorative shirts will be available for sale (cash, check or venmo) and donations for future block parties are always appreciated. We look forward to reuniting with you all!!

We are looking for a few more volunteers! If you are interested in helping, use this link to sign up on our handy dandy volunteer form.
