Sikelè Terre Siciliane Nero d'Avola, 2016

Ah, a Sicilian red! This is probably the boldest of any of the wines in this month’s shares and harkens back to one of our first picks a while ago. Packed with deep raspberry, cherry, and even pomegranate flavor this bottle brings along with a balance of acidity and softness. There are enough earthy/leather/smoke notes to go around but not overpoweringly so. These big flavors are great with steak or lamb.
